Costa Rica is amazing country, located between Nicaragua and Panama in Central America. Costa Rica is a peaceful land of spectacular beauty with coasts on both the Pacific and the Caribbean. No other destination offers such an immense variety of landscapes, ecosystems, climates and experiences all within easy traveling distance. If you can imagine playing golf alongside an exotic rain forest with monkeys, brilliantly colored birds, exotic butterflies and prolific tropical flowers, then Costa Rica may be for you. How about riding horses up 10,000 feet and dropping down into an inactive volcano to have lunch and feeling the warmth of volcano as you sit down on the ground? Or riding an oxen cart with sugar cane just harvested, picking coffee beans for some of the tastiest coffees in the world, or watching the Dole company harvest bananas and pineapples?
If that doesn’t sound like enough, there are turtles hatching in Tortuguero, or taking in a canopy tour through Manuel Antonio National Park. Have you ever hiked to the base of an active volcano and watched the lava flow? How about turning a leaf over and viewing poison arrow head frogs, following leaf-cutter ants, or breaking the path of thousands of army ants? I will never forget going coastal fishing and catching 15 twenty-five pound Mahi Mahi within 45 minutes. I have done all these things in Costa Rica and so much more! “Pura Vida” (Pure Life) as Costa Ricans will say. The opportunities for fun and excitement are endless.
