Say Yes To Germany

In the spirit of saying “yes”, I just returned from a whirlwind adventure in Berlin and Hamburg.  Virtuoso onsite partners at Pure Germany are the experts in all things German, whether it be on or off the beaten path.  Waldorf Astoria in Berlin is newly built and modern, and it is situated in a great location on the West side.  If you appreciate a traditional European hotel, a stay at Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten in Hamburg will not disappoint.  They still use actual room keys!  All three could not have been more gracious or hospitable.

The two cities are very different and make a wonderful combo, easily linked by train. The hustle of Berlin stands in nice contrast to the slower pace of Hamburg.  Both are rich in history but also squarely in the present and progressively looking forward.  Berlin highlights included: the famed Brandenburg Gate, KaDeWe food court, the Royal Porcelain Factory, the beautiful Bundestag building, and the moving memorial to Jews murdered in Europe.  In Hamburg, we walked the historic center, cruised on the Elbe River, were enthralled by the Minatur Wunderland, and had the most fabulous dinner at Fischereihafen Restaurant, family owned and run since 1981.

Consider Germany, and especially Berlin and Hamburg, for your next visit to Europe.  Experience the poignant history.  Share in the sense of energy and possibility!
